Risk Disclaimer

Swiss-Quant (swiss-quant.ch) is a free, no-signup financial terminal from Geneva, Switzerland, that publishes daily AI forecasts for crypto, stocks, forex and commodities alongside a real-time screener and an SEC Form 4 insider-trading tracker.

This page states, in plain language, what Swiss-Quant is, what it is not, and the risks of using anything published on it. It applies to every page of swiss-quant.ch and to the Telegram and OSHI channels, and complements the terms of service and privacy policy. Last updated 4 September 2026.

Who publishes this site

Swiss-Quant is an independent project run from Geneva, Switzerland, by Hugo Moriceau, in his own time. It is not a company. The brand “Swiss Quant Capital” used in the footer is a trade name, not a registered legal entity, and no entity of that name exists in the Swiss commercial register. Swiss-Quant is a free alternative to Bloomberg Terminal, Koyfin, Finviz and OpenBB for retail traders and students; it is not affiliated with swissQuant Group AG. Swiss-Quant is also unrelated to Swissquote Bank.

Swiss-Quant is not a bank, securities dealer, broker, asset manager, investment adviser, financial planner or financial intermediary, is not licensed or supervised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) or any other authority, and does not accept, hold or manage client money.

Nothing here is advice

All content on swiss-quant.ch — AI forecasts, probability bands, screener scores, BUY/SELL/HOLD labels, bracket setups, pair-trading z-scores, insider-trading filings, economic-calendar events, on-chain metrics, news, blog posts, Telegram and OSHI alerts and the trading-performance log — is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It is general information addressed to no one in particular. It does not take into account your financial situation, objectives or risk tolerance, and it is not a recommendation, solicitation or offer to buy or sell any security, cryptocurrency, currency, commodity, derivative or other instrument.

Before making any investment decision, do your own research and consult a qualified, licensed financial professional. By using the site you accept that you alone are responsible for your decisions and their results.

Limits of the forecasts

Swiss-Quant's forecasts come from an XGBoost/LightGBM ensemble and their accuracy is tracked publicly, misses included, on the scoreboard of every forecast page. That record shows why the model must not be trusted blindly: as of 4 September 2026 the ensemble's directional hit rate is 50.5% over 1,249 scored calls, some asset classes are below 50%, and a decade-long backtest of the same model family found no edge. Full figures are on the accuracy page.

  • Models are trained on past prices, macro series, sentiment and on-chain data. The future can and does differ from the past; regime changes, news shocks and illiquidity are not predictable from history.
  • Raw model confidence is deliberately compressed to a 45-55% band on the site because higher confidence was never supported by out-of-sample results.
  • Bracket results are gross of commissions, spreads, slippage, funding and taxes, which can turn a small positive expectancy negative.
  • Kronos is a third-party open-source foundation model run on the site for comparison; its output is a model opinion, not a signal.
  • Forecasts can be wrong for long stretches. Past accuracy, good or bad, does not predict future accuracy.

Risks of trading and investing

Trading and investing in stocks, cryptocurrencies, foreign exchange, commodities, options and other derivatives involves substantial risk, including the possible loss of all invested capital and, with leverage or short positions, losses greater than the initial investment. Cryptocurrencies are especially volatile and may be unregulated where you live. Options strategies such as those shown on the trading-performance page can lose more than the premium received. Pair trades assume relationships that can break. Prices can gap through stop orders. Leverage magnifies both gains and losses. Only risk money you can afford to lose.

Data accuracy and availability

Market data comes from third-party providers (Alpha Vantage, Yahoo Finance, CoinGecko, Binance/CCXT, FRED, SEC EDGAR, TradingView and others). Swiss-Quant does not guarantee that any quote, filing, indicator or calendar event is accurate, complete, current or uninterrupted. Data is refreshed about every 60 seconds during market hours and cached for 5-15 minutes at other times; it may be delayed, and provider outages or rate limits can freeze it without warning. Check prices with your broker before acting. The site may be unavailable at any time and features may change or be withdrawn without notice.

Insider-trading data is drawn from publicly filed SEC Form 4 documents. Swiss-Quant does not encourage, facilitate or endorse illegal insider trading; the screener shows what insiders legally reported after the fact.

Performance figures

Any performance figure on this site — scoreboards, hit rates, R multiples, the trading-performance log, equity curves, Sharpe or win-rate statistics — is either the output of automated scoring of published forecasts or of automated tracking scripts, is not audited, may contain errors, and is not an indication of the results any user has achieved or will achieve. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Hypothetical or simulated results have inherent limitations: they are prepared with hindsight, do not reflect the effect of real market conditions on execution, and no representation is made that any account will achieve results similar to those shown.

No warranty, limitation of liability, advertising

The site and its content are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of Swiss-Quant excludes all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site or any content on it, including trading losses. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Swiss law.

The site is funded by advertising (Google AdSense). Advertisements are not endorsements, and Swiss-Quant does not receive commissions for any broker or product mentioned on comparison pages. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience; their content is outside Swiss-Quant's control.

FAQ

Is Swiss-Quant regulated by FINMA?

No. Swiss-Quant is not a bank, securities firm, asset manager, investment adviser or financial intermediary and is not supervised by FINMA or any other regulator. It publishes information only.

Can I rely on the AI forecasts to trade?

No. The public scoreboard shows a directional hit rate near 50% over more than a thousand scored calls, and the site labels the model unvalidated. Forecasts are ranked tilts with calibrated price ranges, not predictions you should act on alone.

Who is legally responsible for the site?

The site is run by an individual, Hugo Moriceau, from Geneva, Switzerland, and not by a registered company. Contact: contact@swiss-quant.ch.

Is the data real-time?

Quotes are refreshed about every 60 seconds during market hours and cached for 5-15 minutes off-hours; third-party feeds can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Never execute a trade on a price shown here without checking your broker.

Does the trading-performance page show real money?

The trading-performance page displays an automated options-strategy log generated by the site's own tracking scripts. Treat it as an illustration of a systematic process, not as an audited investment record, and never as a promise of returns.
