Free Koyfin Alternative with Daily AI Forecasts

Swiss-Quant (swiss-quant.ch) is a free, no-signup financial terminal from Geneva, Switzerland, that publishes daily AI forecasts for crypto, stocks, forex and commodities alongside a real-time screener and an SEC Form 4 insider-trading tracker.

Koyfin is a well-designed terminal for fundamental investors, and this page does not pretend otherwise. It sets out, feature by feature, what you gain and what you lose if you use Swiss-Quant instead of, or alongside, Koyfin. Details about Koyfin come from koyfin.com in September 2026; where a Koyfin feature could not be confirmed on a free account it is marked not verified.

What you gain with Swiss-Quant

No signup. Every page on swiss-quant.ch opens without an account: the terminal, the four forecast pages, the SEC insider screener, the economic calendar and the pair-trading screener. There is nothing to upgrade to.

Technical signals with a stated method. The screener scores each stock on RSI, MACD, Stochastic, ADX, CCI, EMA 12/26 cross and Bollinger Bands, then combines them into a continuous score with ADX and volume confirmation. The methodology page gives the weights and thresholds, so you can disagree with them.

Daily AI forecasts, scored in public. Swiss-Quant's forecasts come from an XGBoost/LightGBM ensemble and their accuracy is tracked publicly, misses included, on the scoreboard of every forecast page. The accuracy page shows the current hit rates per asset class, including the periods where the model did no better than a coin flip.

Options and insiders in the same window. The terminal includes an options chain with Delta, Gamma, Theta and Vega for US equities, and the insider screener shows Form 4 purchases and sales with post-filing performance.

What you lose

Fundamental depth. Koyfin's ten-year financial statements, segment data, estimate revisions and valuation charts have no equivalent on Swiss-Quant. If your process is discounted cash flow or peer multiples, Koyfin (or its paid tiers) is the right tool.

Personalisation. Because Swiss-Quant has no accounts, it has no saved watchlists, dashboards, alerts per user or portfolio tracking. Alerts exist only as public Telegram and OSHI channels.

Breadth of tickers. The technical screener covers 50+ large US stocks, not the whole market. Koyfin and Finviz screen thousands.

A company behind it. Koyfin is a venture-backed company with a support team. Swiss-Quant is an independent project run from Geneva by one person. Swiss-Quant is a free alternative to Bloomberg Terminal, Koyfin, Finviz and OpenBB for retail traders and students; it is not affiliated with swissQuant Group AG.

Who should switch, who should not

  • Students and retail traders who want a terminal-style overview without registering: Swiss-Quant.
  • Swing traders who work from technical signals, options flow and insider filings: Swiss-Quant, with Finviz for breadth.
  • Long-term fundamental investors building models: Koyfin.
  • Anyone who needs saved dashboards or team sharing: Koyfin.

Whatever you use, forecasts and signals are information, not advice. Read the risk disclaimer.

FAQ

Is Swiss-Quant a full replacement for Koyfin?

No. Koyfin is stronger for multi-year fundamentals, analyst estimates and custom dashboards. Swiss-Quant is stronger if you want no account, technical signals, an options chain, an SEC insider tracker and daily AI forecasts with a public miss-count. Many people use both.

Does Koyfin have a free plan?

Koyfin offers a free plan after signup with limits on watchlists, screens and dashboards; paid plans start at roughly $39 per month (not verified, check koyfin.com). Swiss-Quant has a single tier: free.

Does either tool publish price forecasts?

Koyfin shows analyst price targets and estimates; it does not run its own forecasting model. Swiss-Quant runs an XGBoost/LightGBM ensemble daily and scores every published call at its target date on a public scoreboard.

Can I get Swiss-Quant data into a spreadsheet?

Historical series used by the models are downloadable from the Data for Quant page, and the public scoreboards are plain JSON files. There is no user API key and no Excel plug-in.
